After the Beasts Pirates were defeated, Hiyori got reacquainted with Kawamatsu, who told her of his ordeals later they separated. He told her of the story of Shimotsuki Ushimaru and his fox companion Onimaru, who Kawamatsu was paired with defending Ringo until he was captured. - The name Komurasaki translates to "small purple" and is the Japanese name for the imperial beautyberry.
